“Pet Relief Area” airside in the Columbia’s capitall El Dorado airport.

Airside passengers were stunned to find a fully fledged cat and dog toilet alongside the Disabled and Gents toilets just yards from the embarkation gate.

The colourful and spotlessly clean facilty provided a grass area for dogs and stainless steel litter tray for cats.

The dog area came with fake grass and red “fire hydrant” for your pooch to cock his leg against.

There was a roll of red poo-bags where a toilet roll might be. Also full instructions on how to wash your and hands and possibly paws for extra hygiene.

One traveller from England said “I decided on a last minute pee before I boarded and was shocked to see this wonderful facility.

“I first saw the dog and sign and was baffle
ed so took a peek inside. It was almost like discoteque toilet with the neon lighting and bright colours.

“There was fire hydrant where we migth have a fake tree but I guess this is because they get a lot of visitors from the USA

““But the facilties all looked clean and there was no smell at all. In fact they were better than the human ones.

“I have noticed a lot of Columbian travelling with their dogs. They really are huge dog lovers.

“I actually had a near miss from stepping dog’s muck at check in today. So the facility is definitely needed.

“It did strike me as funny that Bogota was really living up to it’s name.”
