When police smashed their way through the front door of Edward Tenniswood's squalid home in Northampton, they found lifeless India Chipchase upstairs on a mattress on the floor with a sheet pulled over her.
Jeremy Chipchase said: "I sincerely hope there's no possibility that another woman ever falls into the hands of my daughter's murderer."
India Chipchase 20-year-old barmaid left NB's nightclub in Northampton in the early hours of January 30 after reportedly downing six 'Jagerbomb' drinks.
Footage from outside the club shows the moment 52-year-old Edward Tenniswood spots Miss Chipchase and tells her: 'I'll get you home safe'.
An "oddball" loner has been found guilty of raping and murdering a barmaid he promised to "get home safe" after they met outside a nightclub.
India Chipchase, 20, was found dead under a plastic sheet on a mattress at a house in Northampton on 31 January.
Edward Tenniswood, 52, claimed the pair had consensual sex and he had throttled Miss Chipchase a result of his "over-eagerness" in bed.
A jury at Birmingham Crown Court took under two hours to find him guilty.
