One woman, Karine, dressed in black said her husband was trapped at the sight. She said

“I was at a doctors appointment across the road when I heard an explosion in the distance. I rushed out to have a look and could see the smoke rising in the sky.

“My husband, Enrique, works as an engineer over at the warehouse and works inside the one that exploded. Fortunately, he wasn’t inside at the time. He just called me and said he is okay but they are trapped because the fire and smoke is blocking the entrance to the docks. They are hoping they will send a boat to get them out.

“I heard that people are hurt and possibly some fatalities inside but the details are still not clear. I just thank God that he is safe.”
